Party, party!

Today is Saturday and today I'm going out party with the girls. We were 4 from the beginning, but the Sara family is unfortunately sick and have to stay home.

So left is Jessica, Lina and I! Lina is the designated driver today, as she's pregnant and will not be drinking! But Jessica and I will! Wonder how this will end! LOL! I haven't trained in a long time!

In Sweden we usually meet up at someones house before to do some pre drinking, so I went down to the Swedish liquor store (Systembolaget) at lunch to get something. This is what I ended up with! Takes me back to St. Martin where Daniel and I decided to try all the Absolute flavors they had at the bar, one night at Soprano's!

Absolut Mix
It will be fun to go out with the girls again! It was such a long time since last! (And maybe the last time before I leave again... It's only 17 days left until I move...)
Now the only problem is (the standard question) - What to wear? But it will all work out.. I just bring some different clothes, and then I have a couple of drinks before I decide! Much easier!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Cheers my friends!

Working out is great until the gym calls you and tells you your class (that I have actually been looking forward to) is cancelled due to "schedule issues"... So today we "only" did machines, and it's sooooo boring. That, and spin classes... Can't stand them!
Tomorrow I'm signed up for Bodypump (weights etc. with a instructor), which I have a feeling I will die after (or maybe even during!). But it's going to feel so good afterwards!

The countdown is on (hint, the countdown clock to the right!), and in only 4 weeks I'm flying down to St. Martin (SXM) in the Caribbean. SXM is going to be so much fun (see friends, lay on the beach, swim in the ocean, hang out at my favorite beach bar -Karakter, eat well, and party like a Rockstar!) I am supposed to stay there for 10 days and have vacation before I start working (oh yea, the wee little Swede is moving back to the Caribbean islands!!), but it might look like I need to start working earlier, leaving only a few days to play around.

Don't miss the Bus!

Well, I guess I will find out sooner or later!  No matter what, soon I'll be in the sun!

Cheers my friends!

Busy week!

This week has been a busy one (in my world!).

Worked at the daycare for two days, worked for the Swedish church at a funeral (serving/F&B) one day, and then the most important... I worked out! I did classes in Afro Dance, Body Balance and a intro at the gym. And it's only Saturday! Tomorrow we are heading for a Zumba class! And I have already signed up 3 classes next week!

The classes so far has not been too crazy and I feel great! And what an ego boost! Woho, that bikini is definitely going to fit (well, I will at least feel better and that's the most important!) in a month (yup, the countdown is on!)! The other day I even bought a banana instead of chocolate bar when I needed a snack! So mature!

This week I also managed to fit in (!) a facial at the neighbor. So nice, and I got some new products which feels so good on my skin. Going back on Tuesday. Loviderm is the name of the products. I didn't find much on the web, so if anyone has any comments on these products, I would be very happy.

Today is Saturday and today will be a lazy day! The guys is going to watch Handball (world cup) and Sara and I will most likely move up stairs and have a girls night in front of the TV with a glass of wine! That's what I call a nice Saturday. I hope you all have a great weekend as well!

Cheers my friends!

Me at the gym?! What a joke, right!

Before Christmas a friend called me and asked if I wanted to come in and work for two days at the daycare she works at. They (the staff) had planning for two days and needed extra people. As I have a basic education in childcare I thought why not! Some extra cash before the big move!

Today was the day! It started with a wake up call from the daycare asking if I could come in an hour earlier. No problems! At 8 am I was there and we had about 17 children (plus some older ones). I have to say it worked out pretty good. All kids behaved and no accidents happen! Kids are really cool, and I like the younger ones specially! Had some problems remembering their names, but that was nothing new. In the hotel industry it's ALWAYS good to remember guest names, but it's so hard! There are so many people passing the lobby everyday...

Yesterday me and my friend Sara went to the gym and got our lazy asses signed up! We were very excited and ready, so after signing up (me for a month, Sara for a year!) we went in to the gym (as all the classes were full already) to work out. Our thought was to stand on the treadmill for a while and then (maybe) do a couple of machines, just to feel good! It ended with us going back to the changing room, get our stuff and drive home! The gym part was full of people and the bikes and treadmills were all taken. No room for us "beginners".

However, we did sign up for classes on Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and Monday, and for a walk through of the machines on Thursday! My poor body is going to have a chock! It's going to break, BUT, I have one month to get into my bikini. It's enough that I'm whiter than white! People is going to ask what kind of ghost is walking around on the beaches in the Caribbean!

Wish me good luck on my exercise torture!

Cheers my friends!

Memories from the past

After 10 years I finally went through my boxes I have had stored at my dad's garage! Phew! Plenty of stuff! I managed to get together about 5 boxes that was donated to the Red Cross this morning. It was mostly kitchen stuff that I will never use again (random glasses, plates, pots, etc.). Why have I saved all this? I was so happy that the Red Cross took it all!

I also found pictures and albums from the past. So much fun to go through! But, what the hell was I thinking when I was dressing myself in the late 80's early 90's?! I mean, did my parents not stop me? Well, I guess they were the ones buying clothes for me! Oh la la... Some of the picture has been scanned and I made an album with random pictures!   Click here to see the album!

Here's one of them. Me on my first horse at age 6

I also found a lot of pictures from my "horse" time! I started riding classes when I was 7, but was hooked earlier than that as my dad had horses when I was young. Looking back at them I feel like I want to start riding again. But I guess I will have to be satisfied with a ride along a beach somewhere in the Caribbean instead. But one day maybe....!

The only thing I'm missing is my things from my US time... I can't find my pictures from those years and who knows where I have stored them. Probably somewhere good!

Next week I will help dad to go through the rest of the things in the garage! Maybe a car will fit when we are done!

Cheers my friends!

It's 2011

2010 has finally come to an end and we are now in 2011!

I feel that 2011 will be a great year and plenty of new adventures are waiting around the corner! I am so excited! My biggest adventure will start in February when I head back to the sun and the white Caribbean beaches! Work is laying ahead and the contract is signed! Just waiting for the visa application to clear!

New Year was spent at my friend's (Sara & Janne) house and we ate good, drank and had a great evening! Later on we played the Christmas Present game, where everyone brought presents for 50kr (about 8 dollars) and then we put all presents on the table. Then we take turn with the dice and if you get a 1 or a 6 you get to take a present. When all presents are taken, you take another round for about 7 minutes and if you get a 1 or a 6 again you get to steal presents from each other! Fun game and I ended up with things like toothpicks, shot glasses, and a hammer with a bottle opener! I feel that one will come in handy! We also tried their new x-box game, Track & Field and Bowling!

The weather keeps staying cold, except for the other day when things started to thaw for about 24 hours and then freezing again. I only have one word... Ice skating!

I hope everyone else had a great New Year and Happy 2011!

Cheers my friends!
